Compare and contrast our Usucha Uji to the Usucha Honyama. Hailing from two different areas of Japan, the Honyama comes from Shizuoka Prefecture while the Uji comes from Kyoto Prefecture.
Comparing these two usucha is quite interesting. We feel the Uji has a buttery flavor and mouthfeel that slowly transitions to something like chocolate malt. The Honyama is comparatively more savory, and its flavor/aroma reminds us of seaweed.
Variances in weather, terrain, cultivars, etc. make up the differences between these two teas. We hope that you'll be able to parse out the differences between them and enjoy the idiosyncrasies of both!
