This original Den-chan Kyusu comes with a built-in metal sieve called an "obiami". It wraps all the way around the inside of the tea pot. This type of sieve promotes a smooth and complete pour by preventing the wet leaves from clogging up the spout. This small size of this kyusu is perfect for enjoying a private quiet tea time with casual and premium teas.
