The Tamamitsu Hikamahen Kyusu is made with a minimalist, lean design. This beautifully symmetric teapot was created by the high skilled craftspeople of Gyokko Toen. The low profile allows the tea leaves to open up with even a small amount of hot water. This facilitates the full extraction of flavor and aroma. It is suitable for shincha, high-grade sencha, and gyokuro made from young tea leaves. Not suitable for fukamushi-sencha.
