The hand-painted tsubaki flower patterns are individualized, so each piece looks slightly different. The body of the cup is gently pressed so that it fits snuggly when held.

Pottery
Mino-yaki has been made in the Gifu Prefecture since 15th century. Now it is the biggest pottery production kiln in Japan. Famous Shino and Oribe styles are a part of Mino-yaki.
