New Matcha Bowl

A new bowl has reached our office, this time from the hands of a potter named of Chizuko Uchiyama. Since high school, she had been attracted to pottery, and she eventually left her housing development job to make kyusus and bowls. She now resides in Shizuoka, and we privileged to offer some of her bowls on our site.
The matte white glass that is used is soft on the hands. It is deceptively simple as, the more we look at it, the more idiosyncrasies start to stand out, such as the edges around the lip and slight color variations around the bowl. Wares like this are a part of the reason why we love hand made tea wares and tea culture in general.
