Tomohiro Hiramaru Kyusu is first fired unglazed. Then, it is sprayed with a thin layer of glaze and fired into a glossy, bewitching design. Because the spraying is done by hand, the luster differs, making no two pieces are the same. Each piece is a one-of-a-kind gem.

Tomohiro Sawada, Tokoname - Tomohiro is a craftsman with a unique background. He had already been making art before he started making teapots in Tokoname. Tokoname is one of the Six Old Kilns of Japan and has been a pottery center since the 12th century. It is especially famous for its unglazed pottery.
