Perhaps our most bougie teapot. This kyusu is made of Tokoname clay that is coated with glaze that uses real gold. The pattern on the surface that is reminiscent of a snake's skin. While the outside is glazed, the inside is left unglazed. It has a wide sasame ceramic mesh built into it, allowing the user to brew even coarse teas like fukamushi sencha. About the Glaze
The tenmoku glaze used is a special glaze that changes to various colors and kiln changes and cannot be imitated elsewhere. It is fired with real gold repeatedly, and the number of times it is fired is not less than five.
