A single-origin sencha is produced by Mr. Onitsuka, a leading organic producer in Shibushi City in Kagoshima Prefecture. The Yutaka-Midori cultivar produces a rich, savory flavor.
Onitsuka-san's sencha is grown in the fertile soil of Kagoshima, where a moderate wind from the Kuroshio current blows. His tea grows close to the ocean, and is nurtured by rich, black soil and mild rainfall. Onitsuka-san stresses the importance of having a staff who are positive-minded and we think this has a positive impact on the tea. It is as if you can taste the love and care Mr. Onitsuka's has for his tea, something that is reflected in the many awards he has won. We thank everyone who put effort into creating such beauty.
