The Shiratama Yunomi Cup is more elaborate than meets the eye. It is glazed with a greenish glaze, and after drying, a polka dot pattern is hand-painted with a white glaze.

Mino, Mino-yaki has been made in the Gifu Prefecture since 15th century. Now it is the biggest pottery production kiln in Japan. Famous Shino and Oribe styles are a part of Mino-yaki.
