National Hot Tea Month
It seems appropriate that January has been designated National Hot Tea Month*. Houjicha also deserves to be honored in January because it could warm you up better than any other green tea. Houjicha contains a special ingredient, "Pyrazine", which is produced in the roasting process. Pyrazine is known to improve blood flow and overall blood circulation in the body. This supplies more blood to parts of the body thus warming you from the inside. Houjicha also has a flavor diversity and is a good match with cinnamon, milk, or sweets to make you even warmer.
*National Hot Tea Month: In 2016 the Tea Council of the United States designated the entire month of January as National Hot Tea Month. It’s all about celebrating the wonderful qualities of tea and encouraging tea lovers across the nation to raise their cups in honor of their beloved beverage.
