Recommended Teas for Winter#2 - Tea for Antiviral Benefits
Our Bancha Suruga has the most EGCG of all our green teas. Brew it with boiled water and brew longer than for a normal cup (more than 2 minutes). This will make a strong cup of tea with plenty of catechins. You can either enjoy this strong cup of tea at teatime or cool the tea and gargle with it. (Gargling for viral prevention is now practiced more in Japan than in North America.)
