The Matcha cup with the wider diameter and shorter height than the traditional cup is called “Hira Chawan” meaning “flat teacup” in Japanese. This Matcha cup design is popular for use in the summer because the brewed Matcha will cool quicker on a summer day. And with a cup made of glass, it will give you an even cooler feeling.

Our glass Matcha bowls are made in Aomori Prefecture which is known for “Tsugaru glass”, a traditional craft of Aomori Prefecture. This glass matcha bowl is heat-resistance and can be used for cold or hot Matcha or as a dinner plate setting for other food.
