Koicha Hoshino & Dattan Sobacha

We kick off the weekend with the return of a classic and reveal of a new tisane.

Our Koicha Hoshino is back in stock after a long hiatus. It still comes from Hoshino Village in Yame and is made of the same cultivars as previous years. One difference, though, is that we changed the design of the tin can. It now comes in bright red can, making it distinct from the other tinned matcha that we offer. We also noticed that the Koicha Hoshino had a bit more of a roasted flavor this year than it did previous years.

Additionally, are releasing a new non-caffeinated option for our fans. Our Dattan Sobacha is a tisane made entire of buckwheat. The "Dattan" part of the name refers to the type of buckwheat that is used, also known as Tartary.
